Last updated: August 3, 2026
1. Acceptance
By using ShutterMath you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the site.
2. The service
ShutterMath provides free, browser-based photography calculators. The tools are provided "as is" without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including accuracy, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement.
3. Accuracy disclaimer
We compute results using standard published photographic formulas and verify our camera database, but we do not guarantee that any result is correct for every lens, firmware, or shooting condition. Real-world results depend on your equipment's tolerances, focus accuracy, and viewing standards. Always verify critical exposure and focus decisions using your camera's own metering and review functions. To the maximum extent permitted by law, ShutterMath is not liable for any loss arising from use of the tools.
4. Acceptable use
You may use the calculators freely for personal and commercial photography work. You may not: scrape the site at scale, republish the tool code or database as a competing product, or use the site in any way that violates applicable law.
5. Intellectual property
The site design, text, and tool code are © ShutterMath. Camera, lens, and brand names belong to their respective owners and are used only to identify compatible equipment. The mathematical formulas used are standard public-domain optics.
6. Advertising
Advertising shown on the site is clearly labeled and never required for the tools to function. Advertisers are responsible for their own content and claims.
7. Changes & contact
We may update these terms; the date above reflects the latest version. Questions: hello@shuttermath.com.
