1. Who we are
ShutterMath ("we", "us") is an independent website providing free photography calculators. This policy explains what data we process and why. Contact: hello@shuttermath.com.
2. Data we process
a. Calculator inputs and saved setups
Everything you type into a calculator is processed entirely in your browser. "Saved setups" are stored in your browser's local storage and never transmitted to us. We cannot see your camera, lens, or distance values.
b. Privacy-friendly analytics
We use lightweight, privacy-respecting analytics (no advertising cookies, no cross-site tracking, no personal identifiers such as IPs retained in identifiable form) to understand which tools and pages are useful. Analytics data is aggregate: page views, rough country, device type, referrer.
c. Advertising (only with your consent)
We may display ads served by Google AdSense only after you click "Accept" on the consent banner (or where you are not in the EEA/UK and no consent is required by law). If you consent, Google and its partners may use cookies to personalize ads, measure ad performance, and deliver relevant advertising, as described in Google's Privacy & Terms. You can withdraw consent at any time by clearing your browser storage for this site.
For visitors in the EEA/UK, we use a Google-certified consent management platform to obtain and record your choices under GDPR and the ePrivacy Directive before any advertising or personalization cookies load.

We process consent-related storage under your consent (Art. 6(1)(a)), analytics under our legitimate interest in improving the site (Art. 6(1)(f)), and we honor opt-outs via the consent banner.

Under GDPR you may request access, rectification, erasure, restriction, or portability of personal data, and withdraw consent at any time. Since we hold almost no personal data, most requests resolve by clearing browser storage. Contact us at hello@shuttermath.com for anything else. 6. Children
This site is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect their data.
7. Changes
Material changes to this policy will be announced on this page with an updated date.
